Reactions to President Obama’s U.N. General Assembly Speech on Balatarin

by on September 22, 2011

“Who is more dangerous to the world, Obama or Khamenei?” a Balatarin user asked this question after he had listened to the speech given by President Obama at the U.N. today.

U.S. President Barack Obama says the United Nations sanctions passed this year against Iran for its controversial nuclear program show that international law is not an “empty promise.” In an address to the United Nations General Assembly Thursday, Mr. Obama said Iran is being held accountable for failing to meet its responsibilities as a member of the international community.

“Can you please compare Obama’s courtesy and personality to Khamenei’s? Seriously, don’t you see the difference? Who do you think is a threat to the world?”   k1greenvoice asked.

Tofangsabz answered right away:  “It goes without saying that Khamenei and Ahmadinejad are more dangerous; however, this doesn’t mean they can have nuclear bombs but we can’t. They have to destroy their own bombs first.”

Greenapple said, “I’d like to tell Obama to not worry if Iran is making the bomb, because they are never going to use it against anyone but their own people.”

There have been some mostly disappointed reactions to Mr. Obama’s U.N. stance on Palestinian statehood bid. Obama’s comments were a blow to the Palestinian Authority’s effort to win the statehood. Here is one disappointed user:

“The result of such positions is more hatred of the US in the region; in addition, the Muslim extremists are going to take advantage of this opportunity to tell people that the US will not ever let Palestinians form their own free and independent state. I guess “Arab Spring” will be greatly overshadowed by such an unwise position.” manshoor commented

Reactions to President Obama’s speech are still continuing, I will update you on it again very soon.
